How to Clean Satellite Dishes
Posted - 11/15/2011
A satellite dish is an expensive piece of electronic equipment that is susceptible to the effects of the weather. Proper maintenance is required to ensure that your signal quality remains at its best. To clean your dish, unplug it and then wait one minute. Use a can of compressed air to blow dust away from the satellite receiver at least once per month. Take a clean dry cloth and gently wipe away any dirt that has built up on the dish. Don’t use cleaners as they may damage the dish. Avoid moving the unit and taking it out of alignment.
